I fully agree. I think the scoring star should be used better. Players with it; like Van Nistelrooy, Fat Ronaldo and Michael Owen should be more of a poacher, while players without it, like Rooney and Kuyt drop deeper, but passing around the box would be better, as they often set up team-mates.

Actually I would say the arrow situation is pretty awful in ML. And the fatigue is the most annoying thing in the world. On PES5 and PES6, I had a squad of 22-23, but because of the worsening fitness of your players, on PES08 and PES09, I have had to have squads approaching the maximum of 32.

They're the weak teams??? As opposed to the strong teams like England (ha), Brazil (look at their squad list), and Argentina (same as Brazil)??? It's the domestic leagues which is the huge majority of unlocking players; to win all the leagues, it would be roughly 160ish matches.

To unlock? If you're playing on the PS2, you can just buy them in the PES Shop, but on the PS3 and 360 versions, you need to win certain tournaments. As far as I have worked out, the lists of what you need to win are: Master League: D2 League, D2 Cup, D1 League, D1 Cup, Masters Cup...

Actually, what I did on PES6, and will do on PES09, is create a few custom teams, and assign the classic players to them, then I can use them, with the Classic national teams, in tournaments and stuff.

Or Dean Windass... I personally think that Nedved is the best player you can buy, re-born. He played for me on PES5, and on PES08 he had just became my captain when PES09 came out.

I avoid it at the start, but 5 or so seasons into Master League, all the good players from now are well beyond their peak; the reason Konami added classic players, and made retired players re-appear is so you can play the game for as long as you like. Which I still think is genius.

I never liked Shimizu, my mate had him, and strongly recommended him, I had him for a season, and I think he beat one player all season, and scored a tap in, and that was it. I prefer Shaw.

I fully agree about the licenses, I love editing kits and stuff; although I would be a bit irritated if all the names were wrong, like in PES3 etc. Gameplay, and maybe better game mode options are what I am looking for in PES2010.

It's how law works. EA have signed a contract which has an influence of what Konami do.

They can't license all the CL teams, due to EA forcing Konami to have a maximum 2 licensed Premiership teams, and they seem to have something similar going on with La Liga.

I personally haven't had much trouble with this, after the first few weeks of PES2009 - you need to change to the player who is in the best position to tackle. If you persist with the wrong player, the COM will step in.
