i have got my classic lfc team with rush and dalglish up front with beardsley behind and it works wonders. got old scouse jan in midfield who is a bit slow. he actually operates no further than or behind the centre circle. hehe

yeah thats a valid point mate. i guess it depends who u have up front. if u have pacey forwards u can play bit deeper in the oppositions half givin likes of ronaldinho more room, but if u got a clobber up front its tricky to get the space and thats where he is better further forward

its that old age story of getting width. even if its just to occupy the full backs and create space in the middle. thats what chelsea do so well i reckon and where we (LFC) fail - amongst many other methods.

i think its just a case like in real life where formation and tactics etc play a part. with ronaldinho and any other quick players with skills like carlos or ronaldo (mmmm.....seems to be a brazlian theme there) i tend to play them bit deeper so can get a run at the defence rather than playing...
