I'm fairly sure nobody will get charged extra from Shopto without being well aware of it beforehand. It's really not good practice and it's a good way to lose customers.

Yep, absolutely, but they have to inform the customer of the change in price and give the option to cancel payment. Pre-orders are not a fixed agreement, they're just 'name down'

It depends on the site, but if you haven't paid for it they're within their right to change the price however they want. Most sites will honour the lower price, since they'll get a bad rep if they don't.

If you ordered a while back you might get it for the regular price. I got a few people saying they just got charged for £29.99, and others saying they've been charged £37.99. I think the higher price is only for the PS3 version.

Just checked, it's true. If you've not been charged for it yet, your pre-order price will go up. They can legally do this because they have a disclaimer saying that the price has gone up, giving you the option to cancel. Also, since they haven't already charged you, they can change the price...

Shopto have sneakily upped the price haven't they? I read they've increased it to £37.99 and everyone already with a pre-order will automatically be charged the new price. I don't have an order there so I'm not sure, but that's what I've read.

I played it on HD in a shop, but I'll be playing it in SD at home. I hope it's not too bad in SD.

It's just that there's many reviews of the PS3 version, all saying it has slowdown but you can get over it, and then ONE review comes out from a completely unreliable website with no credentials and everyone takes it as gospel.

I don't believe them and they are wrong. I've played the full version in both states and there's no way they're playing a HD-installed version of that game. They're trying to get hits on their website, and it's working.

Like I just said in the other topic, Pro-G didn't install the game to the hard drive. The slow down is not that bad if you install it, but terrible if you don't.

Pro-G played the game "as is" that means they did NOT install the game to the harddrive, they ran it from the disc. Every report suggests that installing the game to your PS3 almost completely eliminates the slowdown.

Theoretically its fixable by firmware updates. The slowdown comes from the PS3's low memory allocation, and Sony can free up memory overheads via firmware, they can also better utilise the VRAM via firmware. It's T-theoretically- possible, but I don't expect them for one second to do ANYTHING to...

PS3 version has bad slowdown, so they probably don't want people to be put off the game. That's why they're holding the demo back.

They definitely blow too early in the 360 demo, it's so noticeable, and so fucking annoying. I noticed it right away, first goal I score. Actually, I didn't even think the goal had counted, I thought the whistle had gone for an offside decision or something. I really hope they fix it. :/

Wiki is massively wrong. Xbox 360 isn't the lead platform for the game, PS3 is.
