It should be sufficient to play with the default ML squad. Or maybe you could finish last (or in the last 3), get degraded to D2 and finish that next season 1st to get promoted.

Seems like you didn't even try it yet ;) You choose which league you want to play in (by selecting your team), but you allways start in the D2 league first. At the end of the season, the first 3 teams get promoted the top league.

What do you mean? You can edit teams AND edit league settings, which will apply to ML automatically
