Unfortunately no, it only keeps stats from the current season. They added some minor things (i.e. team information for each separate competition within the current season) but as far as keeping data goes I'll still be going the old fashioned way (taking pictures lol).

Defending is really easy actually. You just put your defense upfront nearly the midfield reducing space and if they happen to get a through ball in, well, you just outrun Eto'o or Messi with Senderos or Silvestre ;)
