Wow! Those exceeded all my expectations. Great to see the kits and crowd looking so sharp, and great to see United finally in the game. Even the menus and pitches are looking better. I wish they'd announce a PS3 version to put me put of my misery. I don't want to have to buy a 360 to get next...

We don't know yet. If they were to use Kasabian again, 'Empire' would be a great choice, listening to it right now. It will probably be something totally different this year though.

I saw some guys playing fifa in HMV today, and other than the good looking pitch, it seemed the same crap as usual. Can't believe the PS2 mag gave it 9/10! They're usually PES fanboys like us, so why say fifa is nearly as good this year when it clearly ISN'T!?!

I have. 29.99 from play, and you can even get stuff a day or two before release from there if you're lucky, as I have in the past!

I've got a HDTV, and games like Pro Evo look worse through scart lead on it. Don't know how much component would improve this. HDTV's only seem to lok better than CRT's when they actually have HD material playing on them - for example, playing a current gen PES through 360 would look better than...

The italy/england one looked better, and at least the pitch was actually green on it.

That's what I was thinking when I read this thread. I got the latest PS2 magazine weeks back and it, like you said, gave fifa 9/10, and it didn't say any of that about PES6. Therefore he must have been reading a different mag. The stuff he posted does sound very good though because it said...

I've got that mag, and it's given fifa 9/10 and says it's really close to PES now!!! I will buy it next month as it has demos for both fifa and PES6 and has a review of PES6 too

We weren't expecting a PS3 edition of PES before March anyway, so you can't really say 'get a 360' because of that, because we won't be waiting any longer for PS3 PES that we would have been anyway. I can wait, and i'm certainly not getting a 360

Failing that, have a good blow inside the bit where the disc goes in (if it's the orginal bulky ps2). The blowing sometimes works as it clears some of the dust inside there.

If nobody has already said it, Alan Smith's hair needs to be changed to bright blonde cos he has it like he used to now. Only a small thing and it's the only thing i've noticed wrong so far!
