It's roughly the same, but the overall rating can be greater depending on the stats you've given for the specific position. For example, I managed to make a keeper with an overall of 87, but he couldn't kick a ball to save his life. :/ Most I've made for a striker was, like, 68. But yeah...

Hope a new update comes with a few players, that aren't in the game, created. Ronaldo anyone? Editing mode is pretty poor. I don't see why they don't let you edit stats yourself as to how you want - especially when Live Season can be fucking horribly off-point.
