i did quite a few championship and bundesliga players before i realised that it would be just as easy to make them in create player. i now have the minimal amount of blank guys in the blank squads

i'd advise creating the players from scratch then removing as many spanish players and adding these in place of them. it wont take longer than adding them from team A as both are just blank clones. this way the spanish guys are still available in ML non affiliates. just remember any blank guys...

if you create him from scratch you can chose any, however if it is a blank guy from team A or others you are stuck with his default

i didn't mind the grid editing. i got right into that. it's the player stats that have worn me down. i have to make some up and some club websites only have DF or ST as positions. i have to make up who is at SB or SM

on pes 5 i did a 30 min match and things happened that i hadn't seen before like the symbols in the top corner for a player down while you are playing on. this seemed to only happen to me on 30 min games so i stuck with it.

i would agree with jonno, try hotel dusk as i think it was a really good change to how games are set out. some of the puzzles had me baffled as you have to look for the not so obvious.
