i think it is pointless of the small disk. why cant they just keep it normal sized and this problem will never happen

this happend with my brick ps2, i found out that the disk was the problem because the disk is easily broken and unable to use. so the disk maybe the problem. my advise is if you do get another max drive for the disk then keep the disk in a safe and clean case otherwise it is bouned to happen...
