Just because Konami bring out a new game doesn't mean the controller will be fixed. The core package is pointless, you need the hard drive... Your choice is up to you, but if you're only interested in PES get the PS3 would be my advice.

The D-Pad is useless, and the shoulder triggers are a nuisance.

£425 for a PS3 really is not at all bad if you consider the PS2 was launched at £399 over five years ago! If you do your maths the increase in price is actually below inflation. PS2 games were also launched £50 a piece... Xbox 360 games are also £50, N64 games were £60 at one point as well. The...

PS3 will have the first true next-generation PES I expect as Sony and Konami have a 'good business relationship.'

With three games which will retail for £50 each would suggest a retail price for the console alone of perhaps £429 or £449, as they'll need to be offering some saving on that package.

Well it was a PC running to the specification, but no it wasn't an Xbox 360 as some people were suggesting.

Precisely, and PES is far better on the PS2 I don't care what anyone says, the game was designed around the Dualshock and it plays perfectly on it, so the 360 can take its triggers and pretend D-Pad and shove them.

Well I've just sold my Xbox 360 to my mate, generally because it was pretty wank, I identified the floor being that none of the games were actually any fun, I'm buying a PS2 tomorrow, far better.
