Help me!! I cant make up my mind I can get a PS3 from Asia at a 1/4 of the price. I think the games and blu-ray movies are region free but I'm not sure about the DVDs and what happens if the console has a fault.

The whole freakin master league needs to be redone. I'm tired of starting a league struggle for the 1st 2 seasons then (after replacing birdshit and co) winning every competition for 5 years straight and end up with 200 000 odd pts. which you cant do anything with.

The fact that I am not buying a PS3 (R6300) but rather buying a new fridge(R1799), a stove(R1999), paying a deposit on a 2 bedroom home (R2800) as well as the same amount on the 1st months rent....one can see why the PS3 launch was a flop in South Africa Its just too expensive.

PS3 will be available in South Africa as of the 23rd March at a staggering R6300 which is a little out of my league at the moment and may well be for quite a while still.

xbox 360 is taking-off here in south africa during the festive period, a guy even tried to convince me ps3 (which is not out here) claims to have played on one that it is a big, heavy machine, games load slower than xbox 360 and graphics are poorer. But I'm still waiting for ps3 both machines...

I have had my ps2 for 5 years after about 2 years it struggled to read discs inspite of the regular lens cleaning. I googled the issue and came up with lots of info. I then operated on my ps2 every year since then and I still love that it runs so smoothly. So excuse me for being a sony fanboy...
