Got it resolved. Turned out it was something wrong with WEPES folder had to delete and create a new one. Still cant import directly over the PH default players though. Not the end of the world.

CAF Champions League as free agents (minus Al Ahly and Zamalek fow now) - no kits, emblems etc. These will all import over Classic Europe. First export your classic Europe then import these using the player import box. Once done reimport your classic Europe. You'll then have the 2020 CAF...
