I played the 'The Journey' mode in the demo last night. Seemed ok, but I would've preffered it if you could chose a team to start with, or if it was more of a rags to riches type tale, a la Jamie Vardy.

Well I'm just going off PES master, but there's the Holding one I've mentioned, also a couple in the English League 2 (eg Tammy Abraham at Bristol City). Could just be that PES master haven't gotten around to updating that league yet, but no excuse for the Holding one since he's an Arsenal...

I can't see him on PES Master (they do seem to have updated the squads): http://www.pesmaster.com/arsenal-fc/pes-2017/team/101/ There's no excuse if they've missed any transfers, it's practically the easiest thing to do for a sports game.

Yeah, Konami can be very lazy with added players. Especially live updates. There was a player added to the Bolton live update team in 2016, they gave him the default 180cm height... the guy is a midget in real life. EDIT: Please can someone tell me Rob Holding's rating? (Arsenal)

The squad update is live apparently.

I played the demo. It was alright, but passing and shooting feels pretty much identical to previous games, and the players are all too thin.

Having to wait a day or so for a squad update isn't a big deal. When they release it, if it's still missing loads of transfers (which it probably will be tbf), THEN you can get mad.

I presume they're talking about option files. In PES 2016 you could only import images, not the option files. There was an Argentinian and Brazilian league in PES 2016, but they weren't full licenced. I think the teams and players in the Argentinian league were licenced, but not the league...
