I think Donovan was only on the US version wasn't he? If you go further back with Fifa, I think they had Sol Campbell in the 2000 version!

Portal 2. Great game, challenging (especially with me being a bit slow :happy:) and very funny.

This game looks completely bonkers! I haven't played the other 2 games, but this one is certainly on my radar. I hope the fact that I haven't played the other two games, will be detrimental to my enjoyment.

I think you could compare buying PES every year, to buying a season ticket every year at an under-performing club. You'll bitch and moan throughout the season about your players/manager/tactics/fellow supporters. But you'll still stay loyal, and still buy a season ticket the next season! :)

I know. I just want them to hide it better. Right now, the scripting in the game is as subtle as a man running naked down the street singing "look at me!" in a high pitched voice!

That's good to hear. Though, this is how I initially felt playing PES 2011..... boy how that changed! I'll try to go into PES 2012 with a fresh frame of mind, though I know I'll be looking for evidence of the scripting.

You can still spot goals a mile away when you play against human players.

Well, you could you spot the opposition goals coming a mile away? etc etc That's what I'd class as scripting. I'm usually pretty good at spotting when there's gonna be a goal. It took me a while with PES 2011, but once it clicked, it became pretty obvious.

How noticable was the scripting?

From his comments, it seems like Messi/Ronaldo etc are gonna be amazing, and everyone else will be shit. The way he talks about the Copa America players shows this. In reality, these players are top class players. They're not up with Messi etc, but they're top players because they play for top...
