Well, the only true TPS that I like is probably Gears of War. I say true because other third person games like GTA that mix with other genres like driving and some wouldn't really consider them to be TPS. Then you have Tomb Raider that has the whole puzzle aspect to it.

To each his own I suppose. Personally I'd welcome a boost in the number of third-person titles. I'd much prefer a few good TPS titles than a truck load of below average FPS titles.
