Just realised that you play on PC wherease I was talking about PS2 so I dont know.

I dont think so - I have only one option file on my memory card yet the online game still defaults to the original teams

I play on the PS2 but I suppose the principal will be the same - do you get more points for more goals scored ? and are the points gained/lost related to the rank of your opponent and the teams involved ? If the latter is the case will consider not using the better teams.
