From the actual gameplay vids I've seen of MGS Online, I'm not a fan. It may just be because those playing appear to be tards. They look at each other for several seconds before shooting, and run around in circles for no reason. Could be a few bugs around too which is causing a few mishaps...

I hate parts of any game where you have to help other people's lives. I'm fine taking care of my own health, but when it comes to others I crumble under pressure and leave them to die :| Unless it's Eva in MGS3 :smug:

I'm no expert, but I'm fairly confident in saying you can play anyone in the world online, and that Japanese and Asian PS3s are the same :mellow:
