You block it out. It starts quiet after repair, but gradually gets louder. That helps on a lot of games... but for some reason not FIFA 11. My 360 sounds like a hurricane when I play that, even though it has a full install.

Whether I agree with the concept or not, I fear you are right with the direction of gaming as well as other media sources. I do think the price issue won't be as flexible as you think though. Look at the Kindle as a perfect example. All you buy from Amazon is an electronic copy & the license...

Then I'll stick with disc based consoles. Most of my games are pre-owned. I despise paying the cost of new games and don't really care about the on-line gaming too much so the whole codes in new games thing doesn't affect me too much. As a lot of titles are mediocre, I'd rather wait a month or...
