You can create posse's online on the fly in the free roam mode... I've not actually tried the online private modes, but I asume that is where any proper posse v posse action would take place.

A major omission... The hunting is dull... icing Jin with throwing knives has so far been the highlight. The Strongholds are fun, but too easy with 3 or more people... needs to be a bit better balanced.
