Nah, they were the Wisp Mothers three wisps. They only take two or three hits and they're dead but I didn't even think they were hostile in my first encounter!!

PS3 here bud. Dragons are randomly generated and so is their difficulty some can be easy, some can be very hard. Giants are tougher to kill tbh.
