    You can also improve players without matches by going on training on the master league menu then click on train manually. From here you can add bars on what they need to improve at and can improve at player cards and can train to play in a position. This does cost money though.

    You can go to management edit on game plan at the bottom, then go on coach mode ON. this is similar to coach mode as the computer plays however you can control formation, subs etc. Hope this Helps!
