The shirt pulling doesn't seem to win the ball for you either. Only advantage is if your defender is slow it stops the forward getting too far away allowing time to get a second defender across. Diving sucks. I've had 3 yellow & 2 stright reds & have never won a free-kick. Damn that...

I thinks it's just automatic. Cannot remeber seeing the AI doing it, but have seen it a few times on (jerky!) replays. Incidentally, i haven't seen a foul yet just for shirt pulling....

If you have 60Gb version, you can also use SD cards, as long as you can get info on to them from your PC...

Eyetoy will work, just make sure you are in a well lit room, or near a window.

As i said, i had FIFA first & played it every night for a week. I agree the play in general has improved, but the AI is a little ropey compared for PES, passing feels less intuitive, and the shooting on FIFA is just plain odd. I haven't bent a shot like that since Sensi on the Commodore 64!

No contest. PES might've taken a step back in terms of options, but the gameplay is so superior to the stifled FIFA that it doesn't matter. Oh & before anyone screams 'fanboy', i actually got FIFA first, hoping next gen would iron out some gameplay issues. It didn't.

My better half got PES for me on yesterday, and i must say it's not as bad as the rumours suggest. assnall, you're right re the lag, it's certainly better than the initial stutter when using PS2 PES6 on a PS3...

If you're that desperate do it your ferkin self. PES2008 edit options a shite compared to previous efforts, so why not have a go?

Kevthedrummer has set up a pro/con thread for PS3 version... please can you add to it so that people can know what difference the HD element makes? Cheers matey.

Kev, seen your pro/con thread. Nice idea. As i haven't got it yet, informative info is good. You said you had it on SD, but others have said HD (at 720P) seems to partially solve the issue.... Can anyone back this up?
