It is rated at 15-20 hours of gameplay though it depends on your style of play. It has some replay value though I made a conscious decision not to replay it once I'd finished it.

Mass Effect wasn't at all long. Oblivion is an exception due to the fact its a perpetual open world. I know what you mean but its the price we pay for: a) consoles b) high-end graphics c) the importance of games companies remaining financially viable.

To be honest, not really. It seems a rather peculiar piece of software. I've had the odd issue with it - sometimes when loading it gets stuck on the black screen - but the things I've read in this thread from other people border on the ridiculous as the game shouldn't be behaving that way.

Have you uninstalled Kitserver before re-installing the game?

Did you wipe it off completely, restart the machine, install it fresh and, without applying patches, try to play? It appears to be having an issue with something residual from the first installation.

I don't think it'd take years of programming at all, it just isn't considered something essential to the game's success. It is more of a frill, especially to Konami, so they concentrate on graphics and in recent years, AI and weather effects. They're just bigger selling points.

No but Blizzard do make every effort to ensure the system requirements for their games aren't ridiculous. Plus, they develop concurrently for Mac's. They haven't yet decided if you'll even get exclusive DirectX 10 effects.

Currently playing nothing. Recently finished (on the PC) Mass Effect, Race Driver GRID, Devil May Cry 4 and Portal which I started last night and finished this morning.

Pretty shocking there's no thread on this. Diablo III was announced a few weeks back during Blizzard's convention in Paris. Screenshots are readily available on the internet. The estimated and entirely unconfirmed release is back-end 2009. Official website
