Well you can install v1 or even v1.5 which works if you have no conami updates installed but obviously it wont have all the features of v2 but atleast the kits and transfers would be correct as of the start of last season...

I have no lag issues on the 360 version, surprisingly even online is fine for me.. but I've had to get 50meg bb just for a smooth game. :( is this button lag only an issue on the PS3 version? If so would saving the game into the HD help??

read the bit where it says to install only the 1st 2 updates This is v1.5, find the link for v2 as it has the whole english championship included or if you dont care about the english championship and the german teams then there are other OF's you can dload that works with all the updates.

You need the internet to install the konami updates and you have to use your hard drive with your Xbox 360... ie you cant just take the hard drive to a mates house you need the whole system..
