I do that too - although I create an entirely fictional league over Pes Leagues 1 & 2, kits, badges, sponsors, stadia, players - the lot. I might not have time to do it again next time, so I may just try and use the edit mode for realism.

It would also make the goalkeepers more lke their real life counterparts - for example De Gea could be more vulnerable to long shots, and Neuer weak at low shots. Then you could employ realistic tactics - such as if a keeper is weak at crosses, you'd keep pumping aerial balls in to the box...
