I'm a Final Fantasy fan and even I thought that game sucked. A single player game can't be game of the year? Not all games are suited to multiplayer and there are a lot of people like me who prefer single player.

I take it you haven't played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory then? It won't be good now but a few years ago this was like an updated version of Return to Caslte Wolfenstein and it was a free download. Probably the best online FPS I have played.

Considering both games are developed by Crytek and Crysis is published by EA, I'm not surprised that the story will suck.

It has been a pretty poor year. Most of the hyped games turning out average or flopped but it definitely has to be between Super Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect. Super Mario Galaxy edges it for me though as the game is just brilliant.

There is a lot of running about. You have to run from one half of the district to the other have to maybe just sit on a bench and press Y, then run over to the other side to target someone and press B to pick pocket him. There is just so much needless running about.
