Pes has never gotten ball curl/swerve/whatever you wanna call it, right at all. Things are looking a bit better this time around but swerve, especially on free kicks, have looked pathetic for a long time. The last time it was decent was Pes 3.

Hold L1 and press up, down, left, or right on the right analog stick to do the link feint. I found the preset ones are especially useful, and I love using preset #2 because it has a neat flip flap link feint.
