I'm not gonna watch all 11+minutes of it, but my guess is that it's just a well patched up version of PES 13, with improved entrance scene & stadium graphics, scoreboard appearance etc. All readily available for the PC version.

I think you're right. A mate of mine created a few different BAL characters a couple of years ago, all different shapes & sizes, just for experimentation. As far as I remember the results followed your logic.

I've got a Kitserver folder, it came with the SMoKE patch. Some of the teams have 3 or 4 kits in the folders (not including keeper kits) but I have no clue how to select these extra kits in the game, does anyone know?

I think wheresmark is probably right. I don't know because I haven't got that far on in my BAL, I've just got 3 cards at the moment. I do know that you should post in the Become A Legend section of the forum though ;)
