Hmm, that's how it felt for me when I was playing on Profressional, but it was much harder on Top Player. Try playing on Professional and then again on Top. Maybe there's a glitch in the patch or something.

Try playing on Top Player. The AI should close you down a lot.

Just applied the patch and played a few games with my ML team. What a wonder! It completely changed my view of the game around. Kinda reminds me of PES6 back in the day.

I think Sports Interactive (Football Manager) are a good example for Konami to follow. At least they are HONEST and ACTUALLY PUT SOME EFFORT into their product. sad days

pc patches are far superior to console patches for the mere fact that nearly everything can be altered and improved upon, sometimes by way of small hacks. the sky sports thing isn't too difficult to change, though, cuz it's just the scoreboard thing. maybe it could work for consoles? dunno

the AI definitely scores for you, that's not a problem in this version. however, they have a hard job getting the ball up to the final third, and you'll have to participate to get the ball up to a scoring position. this is where the AI's flaws show most. kinda funny when defenders pass it back...

i started with a 72 rating as a CF. for whoever mentioned the formation changing, i have experienced it in both teams i've played for so far, bolton and tott. in tott's case, it was a perfect 4 4 2 with defoe up front, or sometimes crouch or keane, but right before a transfer window closed...

Guys when you're on defence, make sure to press square to make the CPU close down on opponents. The AI has vastly improved in this department and will make your defence impenetrable! I'm playing with Bolton and the difference between pressing square and leaving them alone is night and day.
