you can't do that but you can play as them. When in exibition mode go to the right when your selecting your team. You can load your ML team and play as them.

You just have to win things. If you start as a crappy team in the lower division then its easier cause there is that league title and the cup, if you win the cup then your in the europa league next season which will also increase your team rating. But if you don't wanna do that then i suggest...
