Did you check that the option file is for the same verison of the game you have? on PES2011 there will be a number on the right side of your disk starting with BLES. the option file must be specific to your BLES number

ok BLUS must be for US and BLES for europe maybe, not sure, but someone said you can only play against the same code.

Have you done anymore towards installing the option file? Also you did confirm you had the rigth BLES number on your disk didn't you?
