I didn't use a live vision camera for player faces i edited every player by hand. You can send players from national teams all you have to do is go to Teams and click on the register player option. Go to the team you want the player to be in e.g Stuttgart then at the top of their sqaud list...

Think your right, it's not necessary. If you follow the 2 steps you should be fine.
