There's a link to the list in the first post in this thread. It should tell you what mode each file is used for. The only tracks that are played at random are the Main Menu sounds. All the other sounds are played all the time in each respective mode.

It definitely sounds like a disc problem. Have you tried a friend's copy of PES5 on your PS2? That will confirm whether your PS2 is the problem or your copy of PES5 is the problem.

It can't be your PS2 as you said that other people in your campus have had the same problem with their PS2s. But it sounds to me like there's something wrong with the disc. I think it may just have some scratches or fingerprints on it. Have you tried wiping the disc with a lint-free cloth...

Sorry, can't help you with the older versions as my Playstation 2 is a v4. I did once hear that the screw that was holding the front of the disc tray together had been removed from v7 (and onwards) Playstation 2 consoles. In any case, there should be some instructions on how to take off...

It might be something to do with your hard drive then. Have you got another partition on your hard drive? For example, a D:\? You might have to try that or even try working straight from the C:\.

I suppose it comes down to whether the guy you're getting to chip your console is reliable or not. But still, the Swap method has saved me a lot of money and hassle.

You can use the Action Replay disc as a booting method for backups. The problem is though that the boot up success rate is lower than it would be for Swap Magic. Whatever you do though, don't chip your PS2. What often happens with these "chippers" is that they take away your PS2, keep it and...

It could be a spelling mistake. Check that your file is: 1. named unknow_00034.adx (not unknow_0034.adx) and 2. in the adxencd folder along with the adxencd.exe file.

There is a cheat in the Master League where you can regulate condition as many times as you like until you're completely satisfied with your players pre-match condition. I'm sure someone posted it here somewhere.

I've heard that a credit card is a good substitute for a Slide Card. You still need Swap Magic though and I generally wouldn't recommend using a credit card to open and close your disc tray.

I agree. A 50-50 aerial battle between a goalkeeper and a striker results in the keeper catching the ball 10 times out of 10. Very annoying.
