Try turning the pc and modem off at the wall first, wait a few seconds to reset, then back on again, load the game and try again. Worked for me with blueyonder broadband from telewest.

I think the keepers are more realistic. They drop a hell of a lot more on level 3 and below. Level 4 and up, i think it's realistic how they parry hard shots. Also i don't think there are half as many needless free kicks given. For me, thats the biggest improvement in the game. Even better...
