Great stuff, thanks! I'm importing Anzhi but I'm not sure if I want to apply the edited lineup, because some of their players already exist in the game, e.g. Eto'o, Dzsudzsak. Will it create duplicates of these players?

Do you mean the comp is changing the player you are controlling? If so, you can change the cursor settings to semi-assisted so that you have complete control over changing which individual player you control, rather than having the comp change it based on the position of the player in relation...

But what do they use to edit the kits, and how do they extract them from the PS3 in order to edit / replace them? I'd love to know how the game knows which kit goes with which team when you install a new OF with kits.

What editing tools do people use to edit OFs for the PS3?

I figured out my (and possibly valroy's) issue. On the PS3, go to Game-Saved Data Utility, and delete the edit data you already copied from rafaellv's OF. Then copy it from your flash drive again. When I started the game after doing this, all the data was updated, and it is superb!

Thanks for the option file, rafaellv! I copied the edited data to my PS3 (wanted to see what it was like before copying all the kits one by one), loaded the edited data, but it seems like the data in the game is the original data (I just created a new PS3 user in order to have a classics option...

Apparently I need to upload the latest Data Pack to play some games online (just started)...I'm currently using Pelegrini90's patch. Do I need to back that up first, before downloading the latest Data Pack, so that I don't lose all that data?

its not really out of date if you've been editing the players and teams to bring them up to date though. Rather do that in exchange for good gameplay any day.
