I do have one more suggestion that I think will give your file an even more 'classic' look and feel. Give ALL the teams a pre-1980's kit. Have all the kits, including Internationals, without all the manufacturer logos and sponsors? Personally I'd go as far as giving them all 1950's or 60's...
