my first few online games in FIFA I got owned to say the least, I then discovered that going into formations and making your 2 centre halves sit a lot deeper by basically moving their position to sweeper helps A LOT! I never really use the custom tactics though - does it help much?

the actual Call of Duty 5 will be next year. World At War is different makers from the one's who made COD4 so I don't know what to expect really.

If nobody quits and the game just disconnects I'm pretty sure no one gets awarded a win, I don't even think it shows up that you played them... Although I was playing some guy and the game froze , so I just turned my PS3 off then on and because he was the home team I was awarded the win, this...

if you're within 25 yards I never use anything but top spin on the ball and you don't need that much power, I score about 1 in 4 I'd say...I've scored a cracker with Ronaldinho from 41 yards

I saw someone demo'ing this game and apparently what you do affects the rest of the online world. Eg. if you end up with the power to nuke someone and you nuke Russia - then the rest of the folk online would then see Russia as a nuked country...

a friend of mine who was brilliant online at the 1st Gears has told me this one isn't as good because it requires less skill to actually be good online ...

Yes, usually it's because the other guy hasn't connected to the match and you can either wait, or sometimes it's best just to back out and look for another match

I rarely play FIFA offline (when I do it's on Legendary btw) but it's a shame you can't save replays of goals from online games because I've scored some beauties!!

I had a similar problem with Virgin but after a day it ended up just working again. I'm sure there's some forums about PS3 etc that would be more help than this one...

by the 'crab walk' do you mean when you play a through ball and for some reason your player's stop sprinting on to it and turn to face you or whatever? If they're releasing a patch they should include small things like new football boots as well.

I used to love driving at high speed and going head on into whatever then going flying! Also get a good laugh from kicking people sitting on benches-the bench falls over with them still on it haha :lol:
