The rest option just resets the training, for example if you're on corner training, it'll reset for you to take a corner. That's all I've noticed.

I don't think it affects anyone but the player. I normally train with a team though to get used to the squad.

I have a save file about 8 seasons in doing really well, winning everything possible and winning every game on 5*. I got slightly bored of winning EVERY match, so I started a new ML on 5*. WOW, this is easy, even with the default team! First match in the season, no training or anything, no...

I use a Goodmans TV, runs 60Hz and 50Hz on everything properly, not sure what model it is though....

I always use the cheat prevention, always start on 5* ^_^

I used to do that in PES2, christ the ball moved quickly

OR, you could always just wait until your player has the ball away from his feet in a sprint, quickly let go of the left analogue stick and then press it in the direction your player is still sprinting, then he will kick it further next time.

What I do with Beckham from about 21-26 metres out is just hold the R2 button and whichever way I want the ball to curl*usually left) whilst holding square till the power metre is just past half way. I then let go of square and keep hold of R2 and the direction till the ball goes in the net :D

I recommend using them, I order with 1st Class postage and packaging and I usually get a pre-ordered item a day BEFORE release. So yes, if I were you I'd use them.
