09/09/09. Ten years to the day that the Dreamcast launched in the west. A console that for me, was the beginning of the true console revolution with true online gaming and DLC being introduced to consoles.
As the final console from Sega, I find myself drawn back to it more than most of my old consoles, and I find mysely reminicsing more about the games and experiences I had with it. I hope i'm not the only memeber of this forum with fond memories of the Sega Dreamcast.
I bought mine off Barn, who never truly appreciated the machine. I'm glad I took that risk of buying a machine he didn't like because it introduced me to numerous games that gave me countless hours of fun.
- Shenmue I and II
- Skies of Arcadia
- Chu Chu rocket
- Phantasy Star Online
- Jet Grind Radio
- Metropolis Street Racer
- Soul Calibur
- Resident Evil: Code Veronica
- Virtua Tennis
- Tee Off
There are probably more I am forgetting, but there is enought to me to prove that this is a great little console. I still find myself plugging it into the TV and reliving some of it's delights, and I have even compiled a list of 25+ games I would like to buy for it sometime soon, which to me is a testament to the console.
Anyone else gonna join me in connecting it to their TV's over the next few days and basking in it's greatness?
