Hey all,

I just got Winning Eleven 8 and am trying to play 2 player cooperative with a friend. The problem is that we can only get one of us in the game and the other one is computer controlled.

We have got it to work once before, but unfortunately we cannot fix it. I would love a step by step run through on how to fix this (i.e.move the cursor down to two player and press start).

I will love whoever can help us out.

player settings my friend it can be found when you pause the game on the ingame menue or when you are setting up you'r cup or what ever you play just press which ever way player 1 icon is with the second control pad.Make shur that the player 2 icon is red if the icon is not a colour it will be computer controlled if this dose not wofk then it is you'r controller or computer that is at fault.

But when you do that it moves to the right and instead of getting a P2 icon it just stays grey and the computer controls instead of you.

I know this basic and I should just go to player settings and move over to "2 player" it is not straight forward. It's the most illogical set up I have ever seen for player settings in any game.

We have been working on this for 45 minutes and still cant get it.

Still would love help!

What do you mean, move the cursor down to 2 player?

Isn't it just a column of all possible players? Then you pick up a controller (other than the first player's obviously) and move one of them to the right or left. If it moves and it's grey, just hit to the same direction again to keep cycling until you get the player icon.

Yeah, yuo're right. Except that you can't cycle through the icons as the two player. You moveit over and your only option is the grey icon with two people holding arms. So it won't switch to the player icon.

Is this in master league? Cos I've heard of similar problems with co-op there before.

Other than I dunno, it is obviously recognizing the controller, and you say nothing happens when you try to switch it from the grey icon?

Are you hooked up with a multitap or just through the usual 2nd control port?

For ML mode double player I believe you have to begin the ML with both controllers set for 2 players. But if you turn off the ps2 and load the ML save up later then you will have the same problem as above.
