You can do a 90° shot feint by pressing the shoot button then quickly press the short pass button to the desired direction. (I used to do it that way in PES5).

The 90 degree feint is only available to specific players with very good dribbling stats. This trick is simple to do with one of these talented players, simply press the direction button 90 degrees from where you're facing.
