Hi...
Playing online for several weeks,i've noticed that all the good players are excelent in finding their players inside the penalty area,by using long kicks, corner kicks,or by attacking from the wings...

i'd really like to improve that aspect of my game(eg making my corner kicks more dangerous...),so any suggestions would be highly appreciated...

Thanks a lot...

With corners sometimes you see the guy at the near post lose his marker and get in front of him (I'm not talking about the short pass option). Often if that player is decent press up and hit the ball with almost no power. This puts the ball in hard and low and you can usually connect with a good volley or diving header without the defender being in a good position to challenge for the ball. Obviously, this has to be timed right and you aren't going to volley a fast moving ball first time if the player is useless.

If you're not going to shoot from free kicks it's normally best to just point at the nearest guy and pass it to him with short pass rather than using long pass to put it in the box. The only time I find long pass free kicks to be any advantage is when you're right out on the wings or there's no time to mess about.

As for attacking from the wings if you're a good dribbler put someone fast out there and keep trying to break past - if you have the option put your best winger on the side of the field where the opposition is weakest - ie put a fast winger against the slowest defender. Try and run at the defender at a slight angle whilst sprinting then boot the ball past him with a direction change on the d-pad and black button (i play xbox version, i think it's r2 on ps2). a fast winger can move forward really quickly like this and if you keep the attack moving fast you can normally get some good breaks down the wings and cut in.
Also, if you can see a free striker in the box forget crosses and try to pass straight to him, you're much more likely to get a shot off then.

here is a tip for a free kick if you'r about 30-35 meters out lay the ball off get the power bar up to just near half way and aim for the corner.Sometimes the keeper is off his line and the ball completley lobs him I did it myself today twice.
