An idea on how a new kind of trick system could work. Please comment!

EDIT: I just realized that Pes 2011 probably has a new maybe good trick system, but this idea is still perhaps worth reading.

I just had an idea today on how the trick system in pes could be maybe implemented. What do you think?

For instance at the moment I find it hard to do tricks if I'm running towards corners (not up/down or left/right). For instance this one trick in PES2010 which makes you to first press analog towards the movement of player and then 90percent to either side (does somekind of feint turn if dribble acc is =< 80.

It's hard to do this as user should first press analog to other corner and then to other corner.. normally just ends with player turning somewhere. or many other tricks just end accidently turning the player to direction I don't want.

BUT why Konami haven't tried a system where user first presses a certain button down for instance Right trigger. Which then WOULD LOCK the player to keep running to the way he's currently running. and enter the possibility to pull of tricks.

now user could basically release the analog stick but keep Right Trigger down and player would keep running. Then the user would pull of the wanted trick by using the analog stick now. For instance.. right, right = step overs. right, up = quick turn right etc.

Player would pull off the trick and then get off the "trick mode". This would give the game maybe a bit more "fighting game style" with like move lists, and would make it more possible to implement into PES the 360 movement angles when the tricks wouldn't be relying on the direction of the players movement.

So now people what do you think, workable idea or rubbish? ..of course needs some polishing but maybe?
