Analog or D-pad?

Which is it? I switch from D-pad to Analog depending whether I am defending or attacking. Also I find that the D-pad suits me when I take set pieces.

D-pad for freekicks (unless you are curling to the side and diping it in which case you need both), Analogue for normal times.

Everything is easier with the D-pad. The analogue offers no advantages whatsoever, except perhaps comfort. The game itself uses 8 directional movement for everything, so the analogue just makes it a little more sloppy without benefit.
