Anyone else have a "two legged affair"?

Ever since i've been playing Pro Evo me & my older brother have always played our matches the two legged affair way.

Basically you both pick sides (doesn't matter who you are but i always find the look away whilst pressing the random button the best). Play the match & make a mental note of the score. Then swap teams over & play the second leg. the winner is obviously the winner on aggregate.

It seems like the fairest way to play the game & gives a truer picture of whos the better player!!

I don't know we managed to call it the two legged affair but its stuck ever since day one!

Does anybody else do this or something similar?

Wait...
yah, i prefer mixed arrows. your best player could be fucked and you'd have to reconfigure your team accordingly

I find that playing this way improves you greatly as you need to score with the crapper teams. I never knew i could score so many goals with Ali Daei from iran.

I might try mixed arrows next time

Think of it this way. When Manchester United put a team out, not all their players will have a blinder. Mixed arrows makes things more realistic.

It gets boring when you have Adriano on red arrows banging them in from outside the box all the time.

What teams do you use?

Point taken, we always played it that way as it was a leveller.

Teams are always varied, its either both club or both national but other than that you could get watford vs ado den haag.

we have our favourites but being them defeats the object of having two legs if one player is awesome with one team.

I prefer battling underdogs like ireland

I started a thread like this ages ago, heres what i started it with -

"I dunno about others, but i am loving the 2 leg away goal ties you can play in exhibition mode.

My friend and i chose to play as lowly teams in certain leagues. Our first game was Lazio (him) and Udinese (me)

I was at home in the first leg and he blitzed me with 2 early goals, just after half time he got a third and i thought the tie was all over. With 20mins of the first leg to go, I got a home goal to reignite the game. Unfortuneatley, the first leg ended 3-1 with it all to do in the 2nd leg. My friend went into the 2nd leg keen on defending his lead. I started strong but couldnt break the deadlock until the 54th minate when his keeper charged out to block a shot, blocked it but the ball fell to Muntari to head in. Game on. In the 70th minate I took a throw in on the right side, the player swung and put a cross to the edge of the area and D'Agnostino thundered a volley in the bottom corner. 2-0 this game 3-3 overall but he still lead on away goals. Into the 90th minate and a poor GK kick was charged down and i forced a corner. I subbed my short players for my 2 reserve keepers and took the corner, it was headed out but my centre back put a demon ball back in that Iaquinta thundered in via his head at the back post. A dramatic injury time winner.

What a game."

I always play 2 legged games now with equal rubbish teams normally from spain, holland and italy. We always pick 2 teams from the same country.

Recenty i have been playing 2 legged random selection matches, had a great 2 games last time, i picked spurs, undinese, psv and osasuna and i won 5-3 over the 2 legs. We played in the rain and there were multiplke goal keeper howlers so the scores were high, also no-one can defend or finish as the players are awful! Great fun

Sounds like a good idea this one, I might give it a try.

Has anyone tried three random teams plus their usual team on the random player select mode? You can't press square like, you've just gotta hold your finger down. It's good though, really satisfying when your oppo gets Milan, Barca, Real Madrid and Arsenal and you beat them with Inter, Excelsior, Sheff Utd and Hibs.
