Probably a bit stupid but is there any way for saving your formation online so you dont have to keep doing each time you log in to play? Does my head in!

In PES4 you were able to load your formations before going online. With the time limits involved when playing online, I doubt that anyone can create a super formation in that mode. Just make it offline, save it and then load before you go online.

Exactly. All you need to do is go to the small icons at the bottom of the screen and choose LOAD and load your formation etc. Takes about 5 seconds.

I also was wondering about this. So should I just save the formation I use in my master league as a formation file? When do I load it up when online? Do I do it on the actually team select page?

I can probably figure it out when i get home but you know how it is....

Master League formation is totally different. That is the formation your ML team is currently using and clicking on that option saves it so that the next time you play ML, it appears as your default formation without even using the memory card load function.

This does not apply to online play and you have to manually load the formations you want to use before going online. It's a good idea to create 10 different formations to help you take care of anything that an opponent may throw at your.

Examples:
1. 4-4-2 diamond.
2. 4-4-2 flat midfield.
3. 4-2-2-2.
4. 3-5-2.
5. 4-3-3.
and so on.

Ok Zygalski. So I dont use my ML formation (tried to load it about 20 times last night and got seriously stressed!). So where do I go to create the formations before I log onto the network? Sorry to be such a muppet....

It was Rutger Hauer in the film Bladerunner with Harrison Ford. One of my favourite films and a very poignant scene about the meaning of life.

Anyhow, I always load the formations settings I have been using in normal Cups, Leagues and Exhibition Matches but keep in mind that you will lose all created players or transfers you have done yourself as Konami use their own default settings online.

OK I am getting the idea now. So playa quick cup game and sort out my formation before I play, save it, and then get online and load the little baby up?

Well, the easiest way is to just play an exhibition match and you can load and save your formations in there. You don't even have to play the match. Just quit after you take the kickoff and then go online.
