I've just had an increadable first season! First shock was that, unlike my previous game on 09, I had the choice of Aston Villa, Fulham or Sunderland to go to unlike Wigan, West Brom and Hull last year. By the 3rd/4th week of the season I'd made the bench, by the 5th/6th week I was starting, keeping out the likes of Heskey and Carew. I was an instant success, played every match till the end of the season (With exceptions of matches I skipped due to fatigue and suspension) Won the English Cup, Top Scorer in the Cup, most valuable player in the cup, got 14 man of the match awards, got into Europe, 5th top scorer in the league. Then to my suprise (As in 4 seasons of 09 it never happened) I got taken to the world cup, got Top Scorer (6 goals in 7), won the final 3-0 against Spain, got in team of the tournement without starting a match! Now I've just been named in european and world team of the year and am top with Aston Villa at Xmas by 5 points, qualified for the next round of the Europa League after topping the group, helped England qualify for the European Championship after starting every match and top scorer in all competitions. Now I've been offered a double my money offer from Man United (Champions League football, No.2 in the world) and I think I'm going to turn them down to stay with Villa.
Is this a normal first season or is this just a freaky one off? I was so suprised and shocked when all of this happened after struggling on 09, and was expecting 10 to be the same. What has been your best first season?
