Best World Cup Ever

OKay to give you an introduction to this post and the reason for it - I had set myself a personal goal which was to win all the cups (european, world etc) like in real life. That means if I lost on the round of 16 I restarted the world cup from the group stage. Even if I lost the final I started from step 1.

Okay so I had been trying to get the International cup for a long time...tried using Portugal, England, Italy, Germany, Argentina and what not. I got tired of getting to quarter finals, semis, even the final and losing. So I said screw it, and I picked Serbia and Montenegro. Well here are the results -

1st Group Game: Serbia 1 - 0 Cameroon
2nd Group Game: Serbia 3 - 0 Argentina
3rd Group Game : Serbia 0 - 1 England

Round of 16: Serbia 1 - 0 Italy (Extra Time)
Quarter Finals: Serbia 1 - 0 Brazil (I missed a PK then won in EX)
Semifinals: Serbia 2 - 0 England (that who laughs last laughs best, one OG from Campell)

Final: Serbia 4 - 2 Spain (penalty kicks)


I only conceded 1 goal in the whole tournament. Went on to win the final with a total of 7 goals scored. Oh and Van Nistelrooy won top scorer with 7 goals...one player scored the same as my whole team.

I LOVE SERBIA! You guys should give them a try, they are my new favorite team to use.

Sounds good, havn't had that much luck with Serbia myself but may try something like that, may pick Bulgaria or something and have a go

I always used to play as Mexico and could pretty much guarantee not to be beaten. Scoring at the other end, however, was a right bastard, so I always used to go out on penalties.

But I always use the team I use for each cup and then carry on to the World Cup eg if I use Australia to win the Asian cup I then use them in the World Cup, same with Africa, Europe etc Then if Ive won all the cups except the World I do what Desert Fox does and try lots of different teams until I am successful

I never save the cup half way through - it has to be won in one go. If you get knocked out you have to try again with a different team

Thats a good idea, i'll definatly give that a shot, may try and do it as Korea 1 of my favourite teams, or the Ivory Coast.

I know what you mean, I am Mexican but I rarely use Mexico because it is very hard to score...very hard. Your best bet to score using Mexico is either on corner kicks (borgetti) or set plays when they foul you. Atleast for my experience.

Well try Bugaria,we have the best team , not kidding.You may look me with a sarcastic smile right now,but wait until you see how we beat Holland on Euro2008.As for the team in PES is really outdated,but its still good,Ive won the world cup with him beating England 3-0 and such.I also tried playing with Germany and putting Bulgaria in other group controlled by COM and it get to the final where it lose on ET from Spain...but it still showed good,give it try.Maybe I am too much of a patriot,but we will win the Euro08.

I also tried it but did it with Ivory Coast i scored 6 goals altogether and won the final against Argentina on penalties after a 0-0 draw A.E.T, Owen was top scorer with 8 goals which made me laugh my top scorer was Drogba with 4

try iran, i never won the world cup, only made the semi's. but i really enjoyed it. their keeper was great for me n they have an AMF Karimi, who is quality, he plays with bayern...

I made teams from WC-2002 and EURO-2004, with stats from PES4 for PES5, and I played by Argentina in S. America Cup and WC-2002, and i have 10 games without goals in my gate and all games won! I played 3-4-3.
