I have pes 2008 for ps3, does the captain thing change anything?

Well I can't find anything in the PES 2008 official guide to suggest it does anything. I would assume the only thing it could possibly affect is the teamwork ability - but, like I say it's not mentioned.

Doubt it does anything to be honest.

I just generally select whichever player usually captains a side.

i usually got for the player with the highest mentality and team work ability combination. my m8 told me quite a few pro evo's ago that it affected team play, dont know if its on the pes2008 version. doesnt say anything in the official guide.

I remember reading an interview with Seabass where he says that in future versions of the game he would like it to have an influence on the performance of the team, but for now the only effect it has is on who lifts the cup on the cut scenes!
