Changing Nationalities...

OK. A simple enough question.

When editing a player who plays for a club team ("Modify Player" option in the Edit Menu), is it possible to change his nationality?

I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, if it is possible that is.

Failing this, there's no way to create the player separately and then replace the player you want rid of, is there?

Here's what I'm trying to do (to clear it up, in case I didn't make it obvious):

I want to replace Palmeiras, with Auxerre.

Palmeiras have a different squad from Auxerre (fairly blatantly). Virtually all of the Palmeiras squad are Brazilian. The Auxerre squad, are, well, not Brazilian. I know I can edit the names/appearances/attributes/positions of the original Palmeiras squad, but can I change that Paraguayan right-back of their's, so he's a French right-back?

As far as I can see it's not possible, even if I unregister the internationals from the National Squad they play for. Maybe someone can enlighten me/confirm my beliefs?

If it is true that it's not possible, it's a bit of a bugger to create true new teams, isn't it?

I'm playing PES2, by the way.

So when people on this board talk of changing their teams to alternate teams, they do it simply with players from the wrong nationalities playing?

Oh yes!! It's annoying, but a necessity! All of this will hopefully be rectified in PES3.

1.make a base copy of the player in the national team
2.register the base copy over the actual player for the national team.
3.edit club player to anything bingo!!
